Reminders for Sunday
Reminders from Kathie:
Concert Time has arrived!!!!
- Remember the dress code: ALL Black, (this is not a formal concert like our November concert-but more like business casual). Please give yourself plenty of time to park, set up on stage and tune up. No one is to sit on stage and tune, you need to do this in the cafeteria or band room. If you will be bringing water on stage with you, please removed the label (white will glow on stage) or have it in a dark water bottle. The baton lights up at 1:55 pm! LOL!
- Percussion – please be there early to set up and organize all your instruments. I will be at the High School by 12:15pm. Set up crew and concert committee members, please arrive by 12:30 if possible.
- Instruments that “drool” : Please bring a dark rag or towel to put on the floor for emptying your spit valve. The past two weeks there have been a significant amount of puddles on the stage floor. It is not only a little gross
– but is a hazard when folks are putting away chairs and walking across the stage. Thank you in advance!
- Usually after a concert, we all meet afterwards at a local restaurant. Unfortunatel
y, this undertaking wasn’t “undertook” for this concert. Maybe we can make a decision on Sunday and go to one of the local hangouts that could accommodate us. - A reminder: There is NO band rehearsal on Tuesday, May 17th. We take a breather and start up again the next Tuesday at PHS to get ready for the Norton Park Concert.
- I will not be here for the rehearsal on the 24th. If you ordered a shirt, or owe money for your shirt, I will bring them to rehearsal on the 31st. Please make the check out to the Plainville Wind Ensemble or bring exact change of $15.00. You will need them for the Norton Park Concert and Lake George.
