Looking Forward
Hi All,
I need music!!! While I am rally trying to be a good teacher, father, and husband I find that I have put musician in the back seat. But that is whats making me stir crazy. I need to make some music.
I miss making music with you on Tuesday nights. And while I am disappointed that our concerts have been cancelled for this spring, I am already looking forward to making music with you in the fall. Our Veterans Day Concert will be titled “Let Freedom Ring”. The idea for this concert centered around another new symphony for wind ensemble titled Freedom by Jeff Herwig. Freedom is an uninterrupted, three-movement work detailing the struggles associated with Post-Traumatic Stress in the lives of American heroes, and the process of overcoming it. The 3 movements are titled 1. A Heroes Return, 2. Trapped in a Memory…, 3. Freedom. The Charity we will be hosting in the lobby is a suicide prevention veterans group. This gives this piece a very poignant meaning.
Here is the program for the Veterans Day Concert:

I hope that you are still making music. I wish there was a good way for us to do it together, but the digital means do not make it feasible. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help in your music making. I would be happy to help.
Please take care of yourselves, this social isolation will end soon and we will all be back together making music once again.
