About Us
Founded in 1987, the Plainville Wind Ensemble began with interested adult musicians meeting weekly in the auditorium of the old Junior High School becoming Plainville’s first community band. They wished to continue to create a place where amateur and professional musicians could gather to rehearse and perform together. For young and old alike continues this season with a schedule of outstanding music, educational experiences and fun rehearsals that lead up to exceptional CONCERTS/EVENTS.
This symphonic concert band is an all-volunteer adult ensemble and the musicians hail from many of the towns and cities throughout Connecticut. We rehearse at the Plainville High School (47 Robert Holcomb Way, Plainville, CT 06062) on Tuesday nights from 7-9pm.
