Rehearsal thought for the next few weeks
HI All,
HI All,
Hi All,
Thank you for your flexibility and work in sectionals tonight. It is my hope that mother nature will no longer impact rehearsals and we can finally get down to business. Hopefully with some fresh air this week we can all get rid of the bugs that have been cooped up on our houses and get well. I look forward to seeing everybody for a full, well attended rehearsal next week.
Ken
Hi All,
For tonight’s rehearsal I would like everybody to have a 1 person sectional. Woodshed some of those parts that are giving you trouble. We’ll put it all back together next week.
Lets hope Mother nature changes her routine of Tuesday storms. Stay safe and warm tonight.
Ken
But with this I could come pick everybody up for rehearsal. Kathie, can you order me one?
See Plans for 1/17, we’ll give it another try.

Hi All,
Tomorrow nights rehearsal will include:
Night on Bald Mt.
Do Not go Gentle
– We need 4 volunteer Percussionists:
– Crash Cymbals, Gong
– Suspended Cymbal
– Claves
– Bass Drum
Let me know if you are interested. If it doesn’t throw off the balance I’ll put you in.
Dusk
Into the Sunset
– We need 2 volunteer Percussionists: (Can be the same people, but doesn’t need to be)
– Crash Cymbals
– Suspended Cymbal
Sorry,
I just read my PWE email from this blog post. I have no idea why the score edits from last springs concert just went out. I hope that is not the first time you saw that.
See you Tuesday Night.
Ken
Hi All,
I hope you are enjoying a renewing holiday season with family and friends. As we look to say goodbye to 2016 and welcome in a new year, I am eagerly awaiting the start of our new concert season.
On Tuesday we will read through the entire program to orient us to our new music. Here is the Concert order:
Canticle – Prologue
Canticle – Brother Sun
Sunrise at Angels Gate
Sun Dance
Into the Sunset
Canticle – Sister Moon and Stars
Do not go gentle into that good night
Dusk
Night on Bald Mountain
Canticle – Epilogue
I will also be experimenting with different seating arrangements to see how it can effect our sound. Some may find themselves in the same seats, some may find themselves on the other side of the ensemble. We will see what works.
Enjoy the new years weekend. See you all on Tuesday.
Ken
