Hi All,
  Thank you so much for a great concert.  The reaction from the huge crowd and the fantastic music you produced made that such a positive experience.  I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.  I look forward to doing some of this music again for Norton Park on the 7th.

  We will rehearse at PHS on 5/24 and 5/31.  The concert at Norton Park starts at 6:30.  More details to come.

• Usually after a concert, we all meet afterwards at a local restaurant. Unfortunately, this undertaking wasn’t “undertook” for this concert. Maybe we can make a decision on Sunday and go to one of the local hangouts that could accommodate us.
• A reminder: There is NO band rehearsal on Tuesday, May 17th. We take a breather and start up again the next Tuesday at PHS to get ready for the Norton Park Concert. 
• I will not be here for the rehearsal on the 24th. If you ordered a shirt, or owe money for your shirt, I will bring them to rehearsal on the 31st. Please make the check out to the Plainville Wind Ensemble or bring exact change of $15.00.  You will need them for the Norton Park Concert and Lake George.

HI All,
  Please be prepared to rehearse in the dark on Tuesday.  We will work through the next batch of videos. and make whatever technical adjustments we need to in order to be able to see your music, see me, and coordinate with the video.

This is getting exciting.

Happy Spring,
  Rehearsal Tuesday, and from here on out, will be spent making sure we are syncing up with the videos.  The biggest part of rehearsals will be making sure out tempos are consistent across the group and match up with where we need to be in the videos.  (I already know there are a few tempos we need to speed up.)

  This Tuesday we will concentrate on the video games and comic books.

Hi All,
  Tomorrow we will do a full run of the concert.  Next week we are off, then we only have 3 rehearsals left.  Please commit to attending these last few rehearsals.  It is vital that everyone is there so that we can properly balance the ensemble.  It’s one thing to play the right notes, but if sections are out of balance it’s like looking at a blurry picture.

I know we will be missing some people for the Jazz Band, but we need the time together.  Therefore, we wont do sectionals tonight, but will rehearse as a group.

Hi All,
  Here is the plan for Tomorrow night:

Jazz Band will be having their dress rehearsal tonight.  Therefore, we will have large sectionals with the remaining members.  I will stop by each section and work with them:

Percussion 7:00 – 7:40
Brass 7:40 – 8:20
Woodwinds 8:20 – 9:00

I will post some spots to work on tonight.

Hi All,
  Tonight we will focus on the movies – Star Wars and Trek, Dr. Who, James Bond.  And may hit some other pieces as well.

We are in need of percussionists.  Now is the time to call in some favors with any of your friends that might have some experience we could use back there.  Please let me know if you have anybody in mind.
